It’s been a few days since my last post… seems our conversion to a new domain (name and servers) for my company took a bit longer than I realized! I worked about 36 hours starting from when I got off on Friday @ 5:00 PM and when I came back at Monday @ 8:00 AM.
I’d say the conversion is a good 90% done… we had a total of around 160 users scattered over 5+ states and had never attempted something like this before. We just have some minor fires to put out and little details to finish and we’re done. Not bad for a team of 4 people (2 contractors and 2 corporate staff).
Anyway, that’s my update for the day… I’m just glad I got to get off work at a normal time today!!
Just upgraded to 2.1.1 and all seems fine and dandy!
A few days back I was browsing the SA Forums and ran across this amusing thread:
Rapcat!
It was cute… for those who didn’t want to look, a fellow goon followed the instructions on their bag from Checkers and turned their favorite feline into a Rapcat wannabe. It was quite cute. Anywho, next thing you know she is being featured on FoxNews as an animal abuser… see here:
Local Fox News affiliate thinks I’m an animal abuser
It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen and I keep saying it, but I honestly hate that the news agencies have found the internet.
Last night I was watching a little TV when I thought I’d jump on the computer for awhile, and what did my little eyes see? A nice big BSOD… great. Now, I’m running Vista Ultimate 32-bit, and I love it… but it’s so new it’s kinda hard to get good documentation on why I have a big STOP message on my screen. The message I got was basically:
STOP: 0x000000F4 (0×00000003, 0x????????, 0x????????, 0x????????)
After doing some research online I narrowed it down to RAM, my HDD being set as slave, or heat. Well, I was feeling a little warm… was the heater on? I turned around and looked at my aquarium… hmmmm…. running 4 degrees warmer than it should. Uh-oh! I turned off my system and then ran to turn off the heat (which was set pretty high for some reason). A few hours later and like magic, everything is back working again.
So, what does this mean to you? If you get this BSOD in Vista, first thing I would do is blow out any dust from your PC and check the temp in your room… it seems this error is a good indication of overheating!
I finally got around to taking some nicer pics of Jessica’s ring, but the camera still didn’t want to focus right. Oh well. It’s a beautiful ring and everyone always asks to see it, but Jess doesn’t follow me around everywhere, so now you can look here!

Nice, huh?
You can click the links to see the images a little larger, and for those wondering, we got it custom-made from Whitehall Jewellers!
