Welp, Jess and I just finished our first run of the season! It was incredible!! We’ve been worried that she would be unable to run after her accident last summer in Denver (she slid down the side of Mount Ida and landed on a log with her leg, among other things), but it turns out it went well!! No pain, no issues, no problems! We decided to go the shorter (about 3 miles) route down around Chalco Hills (Wehrspann Lakes), but it was still great! I know this is kind of a boring “so what?” post, but it was exciting to run outside again after the long winter! Whoooo!!
Edit - It’s now 8:45 pm, and Jessica’s toenail has cracked in half it seems from the pressure of the run. While not uncommon, she’s completely upset at it. Poor dear!
