So, I bet some of you are wondering, “So where is the Feb Update? What gives??” So, I’m here to tell ya that I’m working on it. Unfortunately we were delayed a week because of bugs… big ones. But they’ve all been squashed, and we’re back on track. So, here’s some more info on the Feb release:

No More AXP Files. Yep, you heard right… after only a couple months they’ve worn their welcome. Now don’t panic, after much debate we’ve decided we like the new way we have it and it won’t change again. Now, how do we have it? Well we have all the AXP entries integrated inside the XML database! Short and sweet.

Cleaned up Files. No more having everything thrown around… everything has it’s own place and dare I say, it looks sharp!

Much Much More! Yes, I need to get back to finishing the Release, so I’m leaving you with that statement. Also, I’m thinkin’ of revamping the website in the coming month too, so we’ll see if I get to that as well.

+ Lovin’ You Is Easy ‘Cause You’re Beautiful By Jason 16 February 2004 at 1:55 pm 36 views No Comments

So I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, and now a nice day off (President’s Day in the US). Just thought I’d give an update on the Feb release. The new version will be Version 4.5. Why they big jump (from version 4.2.32)? Well it’s completely been overhauled! New look, new features, new functionality! The downside, I have to completely recode the database by hand (been upgraded to XML)… and that is a royal pain! Anyways, for any of you who want a taste of things to come, feast your eyes on this screenshot:

Nice, huh? You can see our new Three-State Checkboxes in action (note the square in Optional Windows Components). Also, the Hotfix Manager (in the About Window) can now remove unwanted Hotfix entries, and more! Stay tuned for the best AutoPatcher release yet!

+ AutoPatcher in Major Action By Jason 10 February 2004 at 11:49 am 28 views No Comments

I was sent this picture today, and I just had to share it… here’s the quote I got along with it:

“Ever wondered why all the hard work the AutoPatcher team puts in is worth the effort? It only took 4 days to patch and install 75mb of drivers on a 100+ new laptops with 0% bandwidth usage!!!!!!!!Last rollout took 14 days for same task. The possibilities are staggering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Well I tell ya, I love the way that looks! :) If anyone else has any pics like this to share, please send them my way!

+ Lovely Lovely January By Jason 26 January 2004 at 6:42 pm 30 views No Comments

Just a fast update here… the Jan Release is out now, you can download it on the AutoPatcher XP Page, or now order a CD. This release has a lot more than the last, but we seem to have found an odd issue affecting just a few people (less than 10 so far). It seems some people can’t get it to install properly the first time around (and have to run it a second). Anyways, we solved the issue and released a patch (it’s on the download page), so feel free to grab it. So, I hope you all enjoy this release… I think it’s the best yet!

+ Updates Make The World Go Round By Jason 21 January 2004 at 2:14 pm 26 views No Comments

Well, it’s taken awhile for me to update the site… I’ve been busy working with some clients over the weekends and been helping keep the dust down here at the office (a lot of remodeling is going on). Anywho, the Jan Update has been delayed slightly, but no more than a couple days… so don’t worry, it’ll be out very soon. For those that have donated, it will be out a day sooner (check to donation page for more info). As far as the AP 2000 goes, we’re still testing some things with it (2000 Server vs 2000 Pro… how can we set it up best), and it may be delayed till Feb… many apologies. Also, as you can see, the Login Box is now gone, that’s mainly because it wasn’t working right, and I decided to do things a little different… plus, gives me room for the new sponsors we’ve gotten. Please check them all out! One last thing in today’s update, I’ve found a new way to ship the CDs, and that service should be starting VERY soon now!!
