R.I.P. Bully the Molly 23 January 2006 at 9:42 am by Jason 121 views

I found Bully the Molly dead this morning in our community tank. He hasn’t been well the past few days, as it seems he got into a fight with our new German Blue Ram on Thursday (most likely, he was trying to be a bully… and the Ram didn’t want to deal with it). They hadn’t had any fights before or after, but Jess saw the end of it (when he was bit). He was bit near his stomach, and while it wasn’t a bad bite, it was a very bad place to get a bite. :(

We’ve had Bully in the tank for about a year (more or less), and he had a lot of personality (more than most of the other fish, by far). He was a big bully… he used to literally push around the other fish in the tank. I figure that they never minded, or wanted to fight back, as he was bigger than them (as he never injured them).

I don’t think we’ll replace him any time soon, and I’m not even sure we will, unless our last molly (Scaredy) has issues being the only molly in the tank (I know they like to be with other mollies).

Such a sad morning… I hate losing any fish, but losing one that we had for that long and had that much personality is very upsetting.

Here’s the last good picture I got of him…. you can see him in a few of the other pics as well:

+ How much is that Betta in the window? By Jason 29 June 2005 at 4:01 pm 44 views No Comments

This is Creamsicle, Jess’ Betta. I decided I’d blog about him today so I don’t have to think about what’s been going on with the apartment. So, Creamsicle lives in our community tank, and amazingly gets along with everyone in it. He is very active, which sucks when it comes to trying to get a nice picture of him. This is the least blurry pic I’ve taken (and this is after taking over 20 pics of him). And… um… well, it seems there’s not much to talk about when it comes to a Betta. hahaOkay, a little about the apartment. Jess called the manager and they’re going to try to work with us to fix all the issues by early next week, so we’ll have to see what happens. That’s it for now, kids!
