I just finished designing a website for my co-worker’s side-business (photography)… check it out:
http://www.dulceinc.com
The whole thing validates XHTML 1.0 Strict (nice!) and the only issues I can find with it so far (which I’ll be working on) are:
- CSS issues in Safari.
- CSS issues in Opera.
- Calender doesn’t popup in IE due to a paragraph tag.
That’s not too shabby for a week’s worth of work, methinks! The next step is re-coding his MySpace page to match the rest of the site (if you see his gallery, that’s actually my custom coding of PixelPost). Anyway, it was fun and now I’m feeling all creative! I wonder what I should do next?

I’m finally done with the design of the site… whoo!
That feels great to say!
So what’s left? For one, I need to update the main site to Wordpress 2.0.7, and the Archives to Wordpress 2.1.0 (if it works fine there, I will update the main site to 2.1.0 as well). Another thing I need to do is to finish uploading the pictures from my old Coppermine install, to my new FGallery+ install.
Aside from those things, I got nothing left… so expect this to become the new face of FlishFun.com by 02/07/07.
So, first things first… we have no hot water in our apartment. None. Nada. Nil. Not a drop. Just the cold stuff, my friends. So while normally that wouldn’t matter, I had to go to work today, and it was about 56° outside this morning… so a cold shower just wasn’t cutting it. You know, we pay over $500 a month for this place, and yet every month something goes wrong. This month it’s aparently “water”. A couple months ago it was “air” and it nearly killed our pets (fish and cats). Argh. For the money we pay them, we should be in a much nicer apartment. Oh wait, that’s right, they renovated a bunch of others with new everything… and charge they same. So we pay $500+ for crap, and other people in the same apartment complex pay $500+ for all new stuff. Yay for us.
Okay, time for the new Blog status update! I’m officially 50% done with the design! I normally would be going much faster by I don’t know too much about CSS, so making this isn’t as quick and easy as I thought…. BUT, it’s getting there. Also, I have installed Coppermine for my images/photos and have integrated it into Wordpress using Coppermine Fetch. It works very well, so if any of you have Wordpress and want your Coppermine photos to integrate, just use that! Anywho, that’s all for now… expect the new blog soon!
Well, I gots me some more free junk today! Both my boss and I got the idea to clean out our offices and I got a bunch of stuff to take home. Let’s see, I got…
1 HP LaserJet 5L Printer
1 Domino Designer Book
1 DVI-VGA Adapter
1 Phone cord
1 VGA cable
1 Broadcom MS-6946 PCI Modem
2 ATA Cables
1 USB Male/Male Cable
1 Pentium III (800MHz) CPU
1 Heatsink for a P3 CPU
1 IBM Netfinity VRM
1 40x CDROM (Beige-BCD 40XH)
2 sticks of 256MB PC2100 RAM
4 sticks of 64MB PC100 RAM
1 stick of 32MB PC100 RAM
1 stick of 128MB PC100 RAM
1 stick of 256 PC133 RAM
Not bad, huh? I don’t really know what I’m gonna do with it all… but free is free, and you never know when you might need some of this stuff! Then again, there’s always eBay, maybe the CDRom has a ghost living in it…
I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the new site design and I just wanted to thank everyone. It took me a bit to do, since I didn’t know at first what I wanted to go for, but I like the way it turned out! Remember, if you ever need someone to do web design, you can always shoot me an e-mail.(Ed. Note - This is from my old AutoPatcher news blog)
