Fishcam on the fritz… 22 March 2006 at 1:38 pm by Jason 85 views

For some reason the software that runs my fishcam has been freezing on me lately and crashing. Unfortunately this means you out there can’t see the tank. I plan on changing software again to see if I can get a nice, stable stream.

I was previously using a different software that worked great, but froze randomly, so I switched. That program now has a new beta which says it fixes the freezing bug, so I think I may give it a try and see how it works. Thanks for your patience while I’m trying to get it working… I haven’t had all that much time between my job issues and my college work.

+ Less sick, more post! By Jason 10 January 2006 at 11:37 am 37 views No Comments

Well, I’m back to my old self again (mostly)… being sick sucks.

So what’s new? Did everyone remember to patch their Windows? Well, for those who haven’t, click here to get the patch for the Windows Meta File security update.

Have you all checked out the Streaming Fish Cam yet? It needs some tweaking (I’ll see about moving it slightly), but all in all, it’s pretty great! For those wondering, the cam was placed there because that’s where most of the fish seem to gather. I know there’s a rock taking up part of the side, but that’s where the glass catfish live and you won’t see them otherwise (they don’t come out much). :P

Let’s see… oh! I’ve updated the sidebar of the blog, it now has a bit more descriptive text, and a picture of the fishcam for that section (it updates itself when you refresh, every 12 seconds or so). Just thought it would look a bit nicer like that. :)

Okay, that’s all for now… I’d write more, but I got me some new software to play with (purchased by my boss to update our old virtual tours)! Maybe I’ll have a 360 view of something interesting in one of my next posts. ;)
