I’ve backed up my old WordPress database and decided to get a jump on testing out WordPress 2.5. While the front-end of the site looks pretty much the same, the back-end will take much more getting used to. Check out the details and screenshots here (also for those brave enough, download your own copy!):
WordPress 2.5 Sneak Peak
There are only a few things I’ve noticed that aren’t working. When making a URL, the link box is blank:

Also you might notice the “Visit Site” overlapping the “Write” button. This blank box also happens when trying to add an image. There’s a chance this is because of my browser, but I’m using FireFox 2.0.0.12 and that’s been pretty good to me. The only other issues come from plugins that haven’t been upgraded to work with 2.5, but there’s nothing to be done about that at the moment. Hopefully these issues will fix themselves by the final version, but beside that I’m impressed with all the good I see here!
Well, it’s been a week since my last update so I thought I’d let everyone know what’s going on in the World of AutoPatcher. First off, the March Release was a HUGE success… as of yet there’s been no major (and really no minor) bugs found! w00t! Unfortunately, as always, we’re running out of bandwidth fast, so anyone willing to host the program, please send an e-mail my way (FlishFun@Neowin.net).Second, the April Release is coming along fine… so far there’s at least 4 new updates, along with some new regtweaks. Hoping to fix some minor text issues (change some wording), and play with the way the Custom Database works with the new security. Also, if all goes well the new Database Editor will (hopefully) be out along with the April Release. So for all of you waiting, it should be here soon!
And finally, once again the AutoPatcher site is getting a makeover! Yes, you heard right, I’m slappin’ a new can of paint on the ol’ girl and gettin’ her ready for the next release. But unlike the last couple makeovers, this one will be quite major. I’ll let everyone take a sneak peak when it gets more finished!!
