I’ve been busy this last week helping out a friend of mine in the photography business. John needed some help with his company’s website and I hadn’t ever worked on a photo site before, so I was all for it. The site is still a work in progress, but I think it should be done quite soon (just need to get a few more things from his host and we should be good to go). Check it out:

Not bad, huh? I figure while I’m at it I’ll give him a plug or two. Dulce Productions is an Omaha based company specializing in all types of photography from weddings to nature shots. Now, most of you know I’m an amature photographer myself and his stuff blows mine away (I’m gettin’ there, though!). So, if you’re in need of a good photographer and live in the Midwest (he’s not shy about travel) go ahead and shoot him a message. 
Okay… enough of the shameless plugging. I need to get back to work!

It’s been thundersnowing (blizzard + thunder & lightning) all morning. It looks like it’s gonna keep up for most of the day (it’s moving the direction of the arrow and I’m at the dot that says “Omaha”):

Globetrotter Bus Vandalized With Racial Slurs In Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. — The famous Globetrotters basketball team were escorted to their bus after performing at the Mid-America Center Friday night after repeated threats were made against them.
Earlier on Friday, somebody covered their team bus with graffiti.
Omaha police said it’s all cleaned up now but the bus is scratched up.
The bus was parked outside the Regency Marriott hotel Wednesday night and when the team noticed racial slurs written on it Thursday afternoon, the driver filed a police report.
Police ask anyone with information to call crime stoppers at 402-444-STOP.

I hate this town… seriously. I don’t care how much of a racist you are… how can you go after the Harlem Globetrotters?? 
I’m not 100% sure as to what is wrong with the weather, but we haven’t had snow in almost 2 months. Now, I’m not complaining… but we live up north, and it’s January! So we haven’t had any snow… and while that’s odd by itself, it’s also been warm. Very warm. Let’s take a look at the weather for Omaha today…
62 degrees is the high, 40 is the low (click the image to see). This is mid-spring weather. I tell you… this doesn’t bode well for the rest of the year. With no snow melting, the grass will be even drier than normal this summer… that means a much higher chance for fires. Also, with the hurrican season last year being so deadly, I wonder if this abnormal winter will do anything to add to it this year?
So what do you all think… Global Warming? Or is the Earth just going through a cycle? Comment away!

Also, I’m still on schedule for my big move to Nebraska (anyone in the Omaha area willing to hire a nifty AutoPatcher guy like myself?), T-Minus 28 days and counting.
