Time for a new look? 22 July 2009 at 8:31 am by Jason 652 views

I wonder if it is time to get a new look on my ol’ blog here… perhaps that’d entice me to update it more frequently.  I’ll admit, I thought it rocked when I first got started, but it has lost that charm it once had.  I think I’ll begin working on something new in my spare time and try to update this more often.

+ Sorry for the downtime! By Jason 14 April 2008 at 9:37 am 359 views No Comments

Sorry for the downtime, folks… I have the fine people at Contrast Hosting looking into it for me (they are very prompt at fixing issues, as they rarely come up!).  From what I’ve been told, something is causing the server to overload.  They’re monitoring it and seeing if they can narrow it down, so if the site is running slower than usual over the next day or so, that’s why!  Sorry for the inconvenience!!!

+ Minor site update! By Jason 03 March 2008 at 4:17 pm 367 views No Comments

I’ve added a brand new “Stats” area while working on the new design (which will have one built in to the code)… you can see it here:

<————– Look that way!

The downside? By default all the “Views” start at a nice round 0. Ugh. I’ve looked and I’ve yet to find a way to “restore” the number of views to what it really should be (from what I can tell, WordPress doesn’t keep track of that). Oh well. I guess it’s better late than never, right? :)

Enjoy!

+ Man, I’ve been slackin’! By Jason 22 January 2008 at 12:36 pm 506 views No Comments

I just got around to upgrading to Wordpress 2.3.2. I tell you, I’ve just been wiped out the past few months. For those wondering, the wedding went great! I’m still working on pictures, but here’s a nice one for you to chew on:

Aren't we adorable?

Awww… how cute! ;) Yes, that’s a Christmas Tree behind us, as it was December 24th!

Work has got me constantly running… this past week has been insane as we had to rush and upgrade to Exchange 2007 (mainly because we were out of space and weren’t allowed to purchase Exchange 2003 Enterprise) and we’ve run into many a problem. Luckily it looks like I’ve finally gotten most of it under control (we run a 2 man shop here and I was responsible for about 95% of this little project) and the users are back working just as they were before.

I really need to update the look/feel of the site… maybe I’ll get to that in the coming weeks. I also have another domain I purchased for something I was looking to do as a side project, but it’s been sitting on the back burner (oh what could it be?!).

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the new year… I’m officially married, I’m going to see the Foo Fighters in concert in Feb, and I’m an uncle! What, I didn’t mention that? Jessica’s sister gave birth on Jan 17th to Miss Catherine Grace Stephen:

Stylin', profilin'!

Adorable, isn’t she? I think she has my sense of style. :P

Okay, that’s enough for now… I have e-mail issues to attend! Expect more later… I won’t let this blog fade away!

+ Updated to Wordpress 2.1.2 By Jason 07 March 2007 at 1:24 pm 842 views No Comments

For those who don’t know, here’s a snippit from Wordpress’ site:

Long story short: If you downloaded WordPress 2.1.1 within the past 3-4 days, your files may include a security exploit that was added by a cracker, and you should upgrade all of your files to 2.1.2 immediately.

Everything here seems okay after the upgrade, but if you haven’t done so… go upgrade yourself!
